The Role
Join us as a Payroll & Benefits Operations Specialist fluent in Italian. Your primary responsibilities will involve delivering professional payroll and benefits services to the Line of Business (LoB) in the EMEA region. You will oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring precise and timely remuneration for Novo Nordisk employees.
Possibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll procedures for assigned countries
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including payroll providers
- Address payroll inquiries escalated from HR or employees
- Administer local benefits if required
- Enhance payroll operational processes to align with PBO Team objectives
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of cultural nuances. Strong communication and change management skills, along with excellent stakeholder management abilities in an international setting, are essential. A customer-centric approach, solid business acumen, a focus on operational excellence, and meeting KPIs are also vital. Reliability, accuracy, and awareness of data sensitivity impacting employees' lives are critical. Here's what we seek:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll processing within a large organization
- Preferably, experience in a shared service center
- Knowledge of Italian Payroll, with a plus for familiarity with payroll practices and regulations in other EMEA countries
- Experience working with third-party payroll solution providers
- Proficiency in HRIS like SAP, Employee Central, and strong command of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Italian and English, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in an additional language
- High integrity, collaborative mindset, willingness to travel, effective planning, and task prioritization
On a personal level, strong analytical skills are required to enhance process standardization, optimization, and ongoing improvements.
About the Team
The EMEA Regional Service Center (RSC EMEA) operates alongside the Business Area office for Europe East, the Polish affiliate, DD&IT department, and Clinical Development Center (CDC). With a sales budget exceeding 700 million DKK annually, our aim is to enhance the quality of patients' lives and introduce innovation to the markets.
RSC EMEA comprises two departments - AskHR (HR administration and employee support) and Payroll, Development & Operations (PBO, project, and systems management). The PBO team provides payroll and benefits support to countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and the UK.
