About the project

The team

The FX & Payments team designs & builds global payment features and products for millions of retail banking customers around the world. We're a team of product managers, developers, analysts, UX writers and designers based in Kraków, London, Hong Kong, Pune and China.

The role

We are searching for a Senior Product Designer to join the FX & Payments team. As a senior designer, you'll be creating UX and UI designs for new payment ideas and help re-invent the old ones too. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create world class experiences for our customers.

Your responsibilities
  • Gathering business requirements from stakeholders; challenging and transforming to align with customer needs
  • Discover and define customer problems with user interviews, desk research and other approaches you have in your toolbox
  • Create UX flows, prototypes and pixel perfect UI using the HSBC design system
  • Host workshops and feedback sessions with stakeholders and designers
  • Validate your ideas and designs through discovery sessions and usability testing
  • Continually support global design, creating consistent experiences across all HSBC locations and platforms
Our requirements
  • An impressive design portfolio, showcasing a range of projects and your approach to problem solving
  • Analytical thinker, forming both holistic and detailed views of problems
  • Focused on smart solutions and being the customer's voice within the organisation
  • Ability to transfer your ideas to UX flows and prototypes at speed
  • Experience building products for Android, iOS, and web
  • Strong visual design skills. A deep understanding of design systems, pixel perfect UI and interaction design
  • Fast paced with the ability to prioritize and work on projects in parallel
  • Strong understanding and application of user-centred design methods and principles
  • Experience working and collaborating with a diverse team. Taking tech, risk and business teams on a journey with you
  • Ability to strongly articulate your design work and rationale to your peers and cross-functional team.
  • A qualification in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or the equivalent professional experience
