Actuarial Intern

Overview

Our European team of around 50 consultants is based in London, Zurich, Luxembourg and Stockholm and is connected to our global actuarial network in North America and Australia.

As a member of our team, you will work directly with actuaries and support them with gathering, analyzing data, and creating models and scenarios in order to deliver the best solutions available on the market.

What the day will look like

In your first three months:

• you'll get to know our team of actuarial experts in different countries
• you'll become familiar with some actuarial tools and techniques that we use to calculate actuarial reserves
• you'll enter relevant data into our templates and assist in producing statistical reports and analysis
• you'll maintain frequent interaction with project supervisors and participate in meetings to discuss technical details of projects

After the successful completion, your internship may turn into a full-time job where you will follow a balanced training programme that covers all of our product offerings. We have a range of training programmes designed to gradually build up your technical knowledge in each area as you gain further experience in the team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• In the process of completing a bachelor/master's degree in statistics, math, actuarial science or related field
• Level of English - at least B2 (on the CEFR scale)
• Good analytical and Excel skills
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze data and check its accuracy
• Spotless record and strong ethos
