About Herodotus

Herodotus is an engineering company that specializes in building cutting-edge cryptography solutions, such as Storage Proofs, Zero-knowledge proof verifiers, provers, and more. We are building solutions that provide smart contracts with synchronous access to on-chain data across Ethereum layers. By leveraging storage proofs and zero-knowledge proofs, our solutions allow smart contracts to read and process historical and current on-chain data. This enables developers to write contracts that can seamlessly retrieve data from L1 State on L2s, L2 State on L1s, and L2 State on L2s, eliminating the necessity for asynchronous messaging.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer with strong engineering skills, adept at both front-end and back-end development. Your role will focus on developing, testing, and maintaining applications built with Typescript and You will play a key role in enhancing user experience through the development of frontend/user-facing dashboards, billing portals, and other tooling designed to simplify the usability of our products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain web applications using Typescript and , focusing on both backend services and front-end presentation.
  • Build and enhance frontend/user-facing dashboards, billing portals, and various tools to improve product accessibility and user experience.
  • Implement robust security measures, data protection protocols, and integrate with blockchain technologies.
  • Manage databases for efficient data storage and retrieval, alongside server-side logic and API integrations.
  • Collaborate in the design and architecture of new features, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.

Required Skills
  • Proficiency in Typescript and experience with
  • Proficiency in backend frameworks like
  • Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, and familiarity with frontend technologies like Tailwind CSS and UI component libraries (e.g., shadcn/ui).
  • A strong understanding of user experience (UX) design principles.
  • Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
  • A foundational understanding of blockchain concepts and a keen interest in the cryptocurrency industry.
  • Prior experience with Docker, and knowledge of server and deployment architectures.
Good to Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Knowledge of web authentication mechanisms and security best practices.
  • Prior involvement with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, or Ethereum development.
  • Experience working with multiple programming languages or frameworks.
