Engineer I

The AP Technology Deployment group is looking for an engineer to support New Plant opportunities within the exciting AP1000 Project Engineering team. This role involves engaging in a wide range of nuclear power plant design topics, particularly focusing on Licensing activities and projects for New Plants to aid in the growth of Westinghouse International's new build market. The engineer will collaborate with the design team to meet licensing requirements and navigate regulatory challenges by developing effective licensing strategies.

This position is a key part of our strategic plans for Poland, where the goal is to establish in-country licensing support. It offers a great chance for individuals aspiring to grow as technical or business leaders, involving tasks that extend beyond a single discipline to encompass the new nuclear reactor design and fostering a strong network within Westinghouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess customer requests and devise response plans
• Consolidate technical design information into reports from diverse areas
• Collaborate with Licensing and engineering groups to ensure timely delivery of engineering commitments for new build projects
• Contribute to bid and proposal efforts across various European countries

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Engineering
• Willingness to travel for international projects (up to 25%)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build effective networks across different functional areas
