We are leading innovation at Zendesk by building highly scalable and efficient build environments for over 1000 developers across 500+ Zendesk services. We're seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Poland to join us in enhancing the tools and driving adoption company-wide. You'll collaborate with a talented group of engineers, taking ownership in crafting tools that are pivotal to the daily work of developing Zendesk products.

What you'll be doing daily:

  • Developing and supporting tools to streamline development processes
  • Collaborating with users to enhance tools based on their input
  • Leading projects and feature development alongside fellow engineers
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize launch speed and environment costs
  • Mentoring team members through pairing and code reviews
  • Sharing insights and knowledge across the organization

What you bring to the role:

Required:

  • Ability to turn visions and roadmaps into reality
  • Passion for problem-solving and finding effective solutions
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes or Docker container orchestration
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in application configuration, infrastructure, automation, and operations
  • Experience in engineering productivity products for technical users in a multi-product SaaS setup
  • Familiarity with infrastructure management tools like Chef and Terraform
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker
  • Capability to collaborate with remote teams

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in Go and Javascript
  • Experience with templating tools like Helm, Jsonnet, Cuelang
  • Familiarity with data analytics
  • Passion or experience in working with large language models like ChatGPT

The annualized base salary range in Poland for this role is competitive, and the final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, capabilities, and other factors. Potential bonus, benefits, and incentives will be discussed during the offer phase.
