Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at zooplus, you will work in a constantly evolving environment due to technological advances and the strategic direction of our organization. In this specific engineering role, when our customers' orders are delivered, we ensure that each of ~6.5M transactions is reported in a timely and compliant manner. We closely cooperate with the business to support 30+ countries all over Europe. From time to time, we need to send reminders to customers who forgot to pay.

You will be working in a challenging Agile environment, taking part in the entire software development life cycle - from concept to maintenance. You will participate in solving challenges from the E-Commerce domain together with the Product Owner and the Scrum Team

As our Senior Software Engineer:

  • You will be developing software solutions for one of the most successful e-commerce platforms in Europe to facilitate our growing business
  • You will be working in a challenging Agile environment, taking part in the whole software development life cycle - from concept to maintenance
  • You will participate in solving challenges from E-Commerce domains together with the Product Owner and Team
  • On daily basis you will learn and grow your skills, striving for mastery using state-of-the-art technologies and practices such as AWS, Microservices, Docker, TDD and much more

Kubernetes, Docker
infrastructure as a code, one-click deployment, C4 diagrams

Qualifications
  • You are a person interested in developing complete solutions, not only writing code
  • You are deeply interested in broadening your knowledge, learning new things and mastering the ones you already know
  • Environment of trust and self-organized team describe the best place for you to thrive in
  • Clean, modular code designed with architectural principles in mind and proper use of design patterns is simply a part of what you do
  • On a daily basis of software design and development you use the best available tools and frameworks
  • Being responsible for the quality of the solution you deliver is natural for you
  • You have proven knowledge and experience of the entire software delivery process from the business needs to daily maintenance
  • You have experience with a modern Java technology stack, as well as cloud-based tools and microservices architecture.
