Basic Function

The Adversary Simulation Specialist will be responsible for testing and evaluating the security of LyondellBasell's networks, systems, and applications. This role entails conducting application assessments, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and ethical hacking to identify and exploit vulnerabilities to enhance the organization's security.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Identify and imitate the tactics, techniques, and procedures of threat actors to assess risks
  • Conduct research, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments on resources to determine risks
  • Deliver findings and improvement suggestions to enhance defense
  • Research and integrate tools to improve security
  • Produce assessments on cyber threats and incidents
  • Create products for stakeholders to address cybersecurity threats
  • Participate in threat hunting and incident response
  • Stay updated with offensive security trends and techniques
  • Evaluate and enhance the organization's security program
  • Collaborate with the security team to mitigate threats
Min. Qualifications
  • BS or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in offensive security or cybersecurity
  • Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of advanced cyber threats and methodologies
  • Experience in programming and related certifications
  • Experience in penetration testing and understanding of OWASP TOP 10
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and cybersecurity projects
  • Expertise in application security and encryption protocols
  • Experience in red teaming, incident response, and penetration testing
  • Strong technical leadership skills in information security
  • Project management skills and security-by-design familiarity
  • Experience with penetration tools like Nessus, Kali Linux, Metasploit, and more
