Your potential team:

Based in Poznań, you will be part of the global MES team operating mainly from Hedehusene, Denmark. Here, we design and deliver machinery, production equipment, and complete production lines for our international sites. As an IT – Automation Engineer, you will join the Operational Technology & Electrical Project Management department alongside around 30 colleagues with solid engineering backgrounds in electrical design, automation technology, and project management.

In the realm of IT and automation, we are at the forefront, and you will be involved in delivering control systems, supporting projects and factories, and contributing to the development of new technology in our 'Factory of the Future'. Engage in global projects from concept to implementation and maintenance, witnessing your ideas materialize.

You will specialize in process and control systems within our production machinery and lines. This involves being part of the Automation team responsible for the development, upkeep, and support of ROCKWOOL's software systems for automation, control, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

A significant aspect of your role will revolve around international projects to ensure a cohesive setup of our MES systems that dictate our software quality.

Your tasks will range from enhancing new features to specific factory initiatives necessitating MES updates. Specifically, you will:

Develop, implement, and support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within the ROCKWOOL Group Conduct service, commissioning, and training visits on-site Provide service and support to ROCKWOOL Production facilities worldwide Gain in-depth knowledge of ROCKWOOL operations to understand our stone wool production processes Bridge the gap between IT and automation as our machinery evolves Travel up to 60 days per year to projects at our production sites across the US, Asia, and Europe

Your qualifications:

As an individual, you enjoy technical analysis, solving design issues, and ensuring quality in your work. You will excel in contributing ideas to our processes while adhering to our standards and effectively communicating with internal stakeholders and colleagues.

Ideally, you possess:

Proficiency in IT programming languages (C#, SQL, and .NET Platform) and an interest in software development General IT competencies in network design, server configurations, virtualization, security, etc. Knowledge of data collection and management related to databases (SQL), such as Wonderware Historian or similar systems Fluency in English – knowledge of additional languages is a plus

Additionally, familiarity with the following would be advantageous:

Understanding of Kafka Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens S7 and WinCC) Broad comprehension of manufacturing processes and production optimization Proficiency in additional automation design software
