What you will be doing

Grodan (part of Rockwool) is currently looking for an Backend Developer /Full Stack Developer Trainee to join the team. The project is a web application for growers to forecast and optimize the growing process. You would be responsible for the implementation of features, production maintenance, planning releases and automation/optimization of processes. The offer is dedicated to back-end and full-stack developers.

You would be responsible for:

  • Manual and automated tests
  • Bug triage
  • System maintenance

Technology Stack:

  • Back End: Java 17+, Spring; Front End: React, Redux, Typescript;
  • Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JUnit 4, Mockito, React, Redux, Styled Component, Formik, Highcharts;
  • We use smaller side tools written mostly in Python
  • Authentication and authorization service: Auth0;
  • Tools: Atlassian stack, Jira, IntelliJ;
  • CI / CD: Gitlab CI;
  • AWS cloud services;
  • Automated testing (unit, integration, e2e);

What you bring

  • English – intermediate, polish - advanced;
  • Current student status - is a must;
  • Availability around 24h/week;
  • Good analytical skills, ability to work in a team and independently;
  • Strong attention to details;
  • Knowledge of the Spring and Spring Boot Framework;
  • Basic knowledge of javascript, SQL language;
  • Basic experience with Jira, Confluence;
  • Basic experience with Playwright would be a plus;
  • Ability to be able to understand and create the documentation in English is a must-have as part of the team is based in USA, Netherlands and Lithuania. You should be able to communicate speak and write in English on at least B1 level. On a daily basis we use Polish but for documentation and with outside co-workers we use English.
