Requirements:
  • About 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer within the JVM ecosystem.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies or in an Agile team.
  • Expertise in JVM (Java8+) as your main area of focus.
  • Knowledge of SQL and some NoSQL DBs.
  • Understanding of Reactive Java.
  • Familiarity with Splunk, New Relic.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.
  • Experience with RESTful web services.
  • Experience with Spring or similar web applications framework.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., JUnit/Spock/Mockito/WireMock).
  • Familiarity with Git, Maven, Gradle, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Fluent in English.
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with SDEs from other teams.
Programming
  • Profound knowledge of IDEs and programming languages along with the toolset.
  • Skilled in implementing critical components in large or complex projects.
  • Excellent understanding of language, framework, and underlying abstraction layers.
  • Proficient in profiling and optimizing code.
  • Knowledgeable in threads, threading models, and concurrent programming.
  • Comfortable with test-driven development and feature testing.
  • Understanding of different programming languages & paradigms.
  • Experience in debugging and solving complex issues.
Design
  • Experience in applying design patterns effectively.
  • Skilled in developing large features.
  • Knowledge of Idempotence.
  • Adheres to improving design and code quality.
  • Proficient in cohesion, SOLID principles, and applying them.
  • Understanding of domain models and problem domain modeling.
  • Ability to anticipate future changes and design accordingly.
  • Familiarity with design patterns like CQRS and eventual consistency.
  • Knowledge of designing for performance optimization.
Development Practice
  • Experience in automating tasks and processes.
  • Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Skilled in automated security scanning and performance testing.
Infrastructure
  • Understanding of multiple operating systems.
  • Proficient in scripting techniques.
  • Expertise in databases and data storage paradigms.
  • Knowledge of PaaS technologies.
  • Ability to select appropriate infrastructure technologies.
