The Opportunity

This role isn't your average Solutions Architect role. Here, you'll experience all the aspects of a consultancy business and work with a globally recognized creative advertising brand. This is your opportunity to communicate directly with clients and learn the ins and outs of their businesses. You will gain insights into complex challenges and apply your tech skills to building software solutions in close cooperation with our commercial teams.

The project is focused on designing and delivering a platform solution concept that can be described as a cross-organizational "operating system," a centralized hub for distributed innovation. The platform will become an entry point for different target audiences keen on using their own and third-party digital products while contributing to developing new applications.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • 8+ years of experience in software development of scalable, reliable, performant, and secure software solutions, including 2+ years of experience in solution architecture;
  • 5+ years of solid client-facing experience and the ability to understand client challenges and articulate solutions, being comfortable in front of and presenting ideas to senior executives on the client side;
  • Hands-on experience with the design and development of web-based (optionally mobile) and back-end components using at least one of the modern tech stacks:
    • Server-side: Java, Python, Nodejs, .Net, Go
    • Client-side: React, Angular, Vue, React Native, Flutter
  • Strong communication skills, good track record of building strong client relationships, collaborating with them to understand the needs and pains;
  • Experience leading technical workshops with internal and external stakeholders, including planning and facilitating workshops to capture architecture-significant requirements, present solution options, and align stakeholders from various parts of the organization;
  • Ability to collect knowledge from domain experts and technical specialists in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Ability to work as a consultant, demonstrate an understanding of business and product aspects, and generate product ideas;
  • Experience working with and managing distributed development teams; and
  • Good written and spoken English.

Should have:

  • Cloud certifications:
    • AWS Certified Solution Architect
    • Microsoft Azure Architect Design Certification
    • Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • Good knowledge of cybersecurity and sensitive information processing approaches related to regulatory requirements and standards;
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following:
    • Data science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning
    • Big data design and implementation – ingestion, hubs, lakes, factories, streams
    • DevSecOps & Infrastructure challenges
  • Experience running tech due diligence processes for clients
Responsibilities
  • Define and document the solution architecture of the system:
    • Take part in the definition of technology stack specifications from the architecture perspective.
    • Define and document context, external interfaces and main components of the solution to meet stakeholders' needs.
    • Define and document strategies, standards and guidelines to build and deploy the system.
    • Evaluate multiple implementation options and suggestions for the preferred way to move forward.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and teams on various stages of product development:
    • Communicate, explain and present architecture to project and product teams and stakeholders
    • Justify the principles and background behind decisions
    • Ensure that project stakeholders are well-informed on the feasibility of the product to address business needs.
  • Participate in the various stages of project delivery:
    • Ensure detailed design outcomes and implementation follow the architectural vision
    • Ensure the architecture meets the system quality attributes
    • Manage architecture documents
    • Ensure that agreed-upon architectural principles and standards are applied to the implemented system or product
    • Consult architecture output with the domain principles to ensure state-of-the-art solutions
    • Review and validate implemented solutions in the context of the documented architecture
