About the job

The Senior C++ Developer is responsible for developing C++ - based software to support kitchen cabinet manufacturing by maintaining existing software and designing new software.The Senior C++ Developer participates in the design process, codes new software and maintains existing products and code.

The Senior C++ Developer is responsible to follow all Planit Solutions policies and procedures, and to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes new software, while ensuring that any code developed conforms to good programming practices as laid out in the company's Coding Standards.
  • Participates in design process by: analyzing existing software, participating in focus groups, makes suggestions on software architecture and user interface designs. proposes design of new software
  • Maintains existing products and maintaining existing code.
Job requirements
  • A minimum of three years (five years preferred) C++ development with MFC on the Windows / NT platforms.Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills are a must.
  • Expert knowledge of C++.
  • Working knowledge of CAD/CAM and of CNC concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop efficient and reliable code.
  • Ability to perform complex operations using Geometry and Trigonometry and general Mathematics.
  • Working knowledge of 3D geometry.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows OS.
  • Expert knowledge of COM components and automation.
  • General knowledge of VB.
  • Ability to produce effective documentation of software design.
  • General knowledge of cabinet construction preferred.
  • Working knowledge of development using Active X / COM components.
  • Takes the initiative to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Follows all policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to and actively promote a teamwork environment.
  • Communicates effectively to support organization and process change.
  • Shows conscientious attention to detail.
  • Displays honesty and integrity.
  • Ability to learn how to effectively use various software packages.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work activities.
  • English C1
