SAP Operations ManagerMain Responsibilities:

  • Securing stability and operational excellence of SAP and landscape applications via effective management of team resources.
  • Securing professional growth of all team members and effective succession plan by facilitating knowledge transfer among team members by enforcing regular training and mentorship of less experienced team members by senior personnel.
  • Providing guidance and support to the team members, to ensure successful implementation of system enhancements and projects.
  • Ensuring alignment of SAP Operations development strategies across all SAP environments and satellite applications with long-term business objectives, industry trends, and SAP best practices.
  • Ensure timely resolution of critical incidents by coordinating senior team members' involvement
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for projects and enhancements ensuring efficient execution and successful outcomes
  • Delegate project responsibilities to team members, allowing them to take ownership of their contributions
  • Foster transparent and effective communication with both internal team members and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and information exchange
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with each team member to build a strong working relationship, provide updates, address concerns, and align on goals and expectations
  • Develop individualized professional growth paths for team members and provide consistent guidance, resources, and mentorship to assist team members in achieving their goals
  • Arrange regular knowledge sharing sessions and workshops to foster learning and cross-functional understanding
  • Assign senior team members as mentors to guide and nurture junior team members' growth
  • Develop and communicate SAP Operations development strategies that align with business objectives
  • Ensure the coherence of SAP Service Operations development strategies across all environments and satellite application with long term business goals, industry trends and ITIL best practices
Qualifications & skills:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in IT Service Operations or Service Management roles
  • 2+ years of experience as Manager in international organization
  • Proven team management and leadership skills, with a track record of cultivating team growth and collaboration
  • Ability to manage remote teams by leveraging virtual collaboration tools, maintaining regular communication, and addressing challenges effectively.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and principles, with proven experience in incident, problem, and change management
  • Proficiency in using IT service management tools and systems for incident tracking, problem resolution, and reporting
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Fluent English – written and spoken
  • SAP certification in one or more SAP modules, or completion of other professional SAP training is a plus
  • ITIL or Agile certification is a plus
  • Solid grasp of key business domains, such as Order to Cash, Procurement, Warehouse Management, and Finance, to ensure holistic operational alignment
  • Good understanding of end-to end business process and technical functionalities behind
  • Good understanding of SAP configurations, data model, enhancements, and integration across different modules
  • Experience in Continuous Development and Continuous Delivery
  • Experience in change management methodologies and tools (SAP Solution Manager, JIRA, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize between different Team assignments
  • Willingness to share knowledge, train others and act as a mentor to less experienced team members
  • Embracing and promoting change, especially from business standpoint
  • Commitment to personal and technical growth, embracing learning opportunities that extend beyond their comfort zone
  • Willingness to travel
