Description of the position:

Cluster Daily Banking (DBK) delivers fast, client-focused Daily Banking products and services for online channel. Our main products are centered around catering to the needs of our private customers on the online platform.

By utilizing J2EE, REST and SOAP APIs, Apache Wicket, we are engaged in developing within the Cross Channel Banking (CCB) environment.

Within the DBK cluster, the development teams provide new digital products and solutions directly to the bank's customers. You'll work closely with business analysts and application operation experts to develop new frontends, modules, or interfaces for these products.

What you will be doing?

  • You will be involved in developing new APIs to support digital products and bank services. These APIs will be integrated into the bank's portal platform and used internally for various purposes, primarily related to payment transfers.
  • You will handle the backend logic of these APIs, understanding complex business requirements and data objects in the digital finance realm, particularly in the payment sector. You'll also be responsible for validating input data according to business requirements.
  • Design and create REST interfaces that serve as central APIs.
  • Integrate backend systems from within the Commerzbank IT landscape using a variety of technologies such as Rest, SOAP, direct mainframe connectivity, and databases.
  • Provide support for incident resolution, bug fixing, and assist the testing and development team.
  • Work within an agile team setup, collaborating with business domain colleagues, business analysts, architects, developers, application operation experts, and testers.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies (Daily, Planning, Review, Retro) either through VidCo/Telco or in person on occasion.

Which technology & skills are important for us?

  • High proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Java Frameworks.
  • Analyze business requirements and devise appropriate solutions.
  • Good understanding of designing and implementing Rest APIs.
  • Sound knowledge of integrating with Backends and Frontends using API/REST/SOAP, etc.
  • English proficiency at B2 level.
