Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Nordea

We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and testers in identifying, replicating, and analyzing production incidents within large-scale projects.

About this opportunity

Join our global team of testing enthusiasts. We contribute by enhancing production stability and cost-effectiveness, while delivering and implementing innovative solutions for our customers. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in improving solution quality, with a focus on production incidents.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collecting details about Production incidents
  • Conducting searches via logs
  • Prioritizing production incidents
  • Reproducing incidents in a test environment
  • Identifying the need and scope for regression tests
  • Managing JIRA and Helix tickets
  • Leading meetings with various stakeholders
  • Retesting defect fixes
  • Ensuring efficient and well-documented execution of activities according to the latest Nordea Test Strategy
  • Reporting defects (including handling and validation)
  • Actively collaborating with the incident management team
  • Operating in an international setting

The position is based in Gdynia/Gdańsk or Warsaw.

To excel in this role, we believe that you:

  • Possess experience in log analysis (preferably Splunk)
  • Come with proficiency in defects management
  • Have hands-on familiarity with the T24 system and its Retail product (mandatory)
  • Possess fundamental testing knowledge (e.g., ISTQB Foundation level)
  • Demonstrate the capability to steer and reinforce QA operations across the support team
  • Embody a tester mindset (attentive to details, quality, and problem-solving)
  • Exhibit competence in working within an international context
  • Are eager to learn and assimilate new tools and processes

Your experience and background:

  • Over 5 years of professional experience (preferably in Agile Teams)
  • Proficient in defining, implementing, and reporting tests for intricate software systems
  • Experience in System Testing of modern UI (Web)
  • Competent in API Testing using Postman and Swagger
  • Skilled in test management tools (e.g., qTest or equivalent)
  • Practical familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Desirable background in working with SAFE methodology
  • Experience in mobile apps testing would be an added advantage
