Position Purpose

The Senior Power BI Developer is in charge of developing BI solutions, aiming to help the business maximize the value of data by creating advanced data products. This role collaborates closely with the broader data team and various stakeholders to define, analyze, and meet data requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to grasp business needs, focusing on delivering insightful Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and launch of Power BI solutions to offer valuable insights to the business using data visualization tools
  • Comprehend business needs and devise strategies to turn raw data into meaningful insights through Power BI
  • Develop and sustain business intelligence solutions utilizing Power BI, including visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards
  • Create DAX queries and functions in Power BI following best practices and industry standards for optimal data model and reporting performance
  • Craft dashboards and interactive visual reports utilizing Power BI
  • Analyze data and present insights through reports that facilitate decision-making

WHS

  • Take proactive measures to ensure the implementation of WHS practices and policies, fostering a safe environment for oneself and team members, and complying with legal requirements, company standards, and safety programs
  • Adhere to safe work practices and procedures consistently
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
  • Promptly report all OHS hazards, injuries, and incidents

Other

  • Demonstrate behavior aligned with all Company policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Discrimination, Bullying, EEO, and relevant laws, ensuring adherence to legislation applicable to the role, notably WHS
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager

Requirements

  • Experience in a sophisticated enterprise data warehouse setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in data storytelling
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication abilities
  • Solid Business intelligence/Reporting background
  • Proficient in Power BI, specifically DAX queries
  • Extensive knowledge of Data modeling in Power BI
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Familiarity with ETL & Data Modeling
