Job Description

You'll work on existing mobile applications, taking ownership of current features and leading new ones, troubleshooting issues as they come up. Our mobile engineers primarily use Swift and Kotlin, with Java playing a key role in shared logic.

Your Role in the Team

As a Mid-Level Mobile Developer, you will be an integral part of a team that develops the technology behind our retail brokerage business and other initiatives. We prioritize the speed and stability of our backend systems as much as the customer-facing applications we create. Our architecture is always evolving to meet new business needs and technical challenges, focusing on practicality and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own and work on the code base for our iOS platforms
  • Develop application code using Swift
  • Maintain shared logic written in Java
  • Enhance code quality of a sizable code base
  • Engage in the entire application lifecycle from concept to release on the app store
  • Solve challenging engineering problems related to creating a highly interactive trading experience
  • Collaborate with the backend team to improve UI/UX
  • Customize the trading experience for Android platforms in collaboration with product, design, and QA teams

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing complex iOS applications with Swift
  • Proven track record of delivering iOS applications to production
  • Proficiency in managing large code bases, handling a shared REST API library, and writing unit tests
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to deliver quality code on time
  • Knowledge of Fastlane and iOS app development
  • Bonus points for cross-platform experience, familiarity with dependency management tools, and a passion for UI/UX design
  • Interest in trading equities, equity options, futures, or futures options is a plus
