We are looking for you, if you:

have an experience in refining and designing features. At least 3-year technical design knowledge with proven experience in transferring reference architectures to solution architectures, have an excellent knowledge of current technologies and good understanding of technologies to be used, in your functional domain, are in depth in IT application, IT infrastructure and feature knowledge. Especially experience in Enterprise Content Management and intelligence automation, can prove that you are constantly pro-active improving your IT knowledge and have your own IT vision about (un)structured data archiving and next steps in a very complex/big data environment, have proven Track record in reducing complexity and of delivering complex IT initiatives across multiple teams, demonstrates mastery in writing skills – understandable and easy to read features, are a good presenter who can convey stories well between business and IT stakeholders.

English level: C1/C2

Your responsibilities:

Responsible for the solution design to show what is needed and how the End-to-End solution will work:

this involves creating a blueprint or high-level overview of the proposed solution, outlining the architecture, components, modules, and interfaces of the system, you ensure that the design aligns with the organization's strategic goals, technology infrastructure, and industry best practices, you are responsible for the refinement in a detailed design with sufficient granularity for the development team to implement. Eg, you conduct, review and maintain on topics as software architecture, workflows, design records, proof of concepts, technical documentation. during the development phase, you technical guidance and support to the development team. You conduct code reviews and ensure that the implemented solution adheres to the design and architectural principles. You also collaborate with the quality assurance team to define and implement effective testing strategies, you play a crucial role in evaluating and selecting technologies and tools. You assess various options and make recommendations based on factors such as scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Translate business requirements into features and stories by using IT & Business knowledge:

you are able to translate new product / services needs into required IT solutions and Requirements, you think and act globally and grasp business opportunities from new technology solutions, you highlight correlation and dependencies between squads within a tribe or across tribes, but also other parts of the organization.

Ensure features delivery (Planning, coordination, dependencies management):

you are and feel technical responsible for the end-to-end integration and realization of the IT work (across squads and/or Tribes). You owns the planning, oversee sprints, align / coordinate the work across the whole chain and inspires individuals and teams creating lasting synergy, you identify (and manage) risks and potential issues and offer improvements across tribes, you identify and manage dependencies for features and epics across different tribes.

You will be part of a Chapter of Feature Engineers working for the Corporate Solutions Area within Tech Group Services. Corporate Solutions deliver​ unified and secure Tech capabilities and services empowering our global business partners to deliver and improve the digital experience. (. Enterprise & Document Content Services, Global HR, Facility Management, Knowledge & Service management and more). The open position has a focus on Enterprise Content Service. Enabling superior and compliant digital journeys via scalable content & automation services

The opportunity

The feature engineer is a key player in the cooperation between IT and Business stakeholders. You play a critical role in designing and implementing effective IT solutions to make complex changes happen within and across Tribes. Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of both Business and IT are crucial in the translation of business requirements in a sequence that delivers customer value as early as possible (strong Minimum Viable Product mindset). You create an end to end high level and detail solution design to support the breakdown into features to ensure that business epics are translated into working IT solutions. You define and align the roadmaps between squads and other parts of the organization and thoroughly manage dependencies.

Your success is not based on your hierarchical position, but based on your strong communication and collaboration skills, your results delivered, your extensive knowledge of current and future state and your added value for ING and for the teams you work with.
