We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious professional for the role of Applications Engineer (female/male) in Katowice, Poland. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background and prior pre-sales experience in the automation and robotics sector, aiding UR partners and clients in both pre- and post-sales operations to ensure an exceptional product experience.

  • Implement initiatives to enhance group efficiency and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Support and oversee the technical growth of our Distributors, Certified Systems Integrators, OEMs, and other integration partners within our UR+ Ecosystem.
  • Contribute insights to the Product Management team for shaping future development pathways in specific technology domains and conduct competitive analysis of Universal Robots' rivals to strengthen our product lineup through exhibitions, collaborations, online investigations, and other ventures.
  • Foster positive internal and external relations, serving as a representative for Universal Robots among industry leaders, showcasing a commitment to shared objectives and promoting unity under One UR, all while adapting adeptly to a rapidly evolving landscape.
  • Engage with the Marketing, UR Academy, UR+, and other value stream teams, ensuring timely information dissemination and cultivating productive relationships with all stakeholders involved.
  • Maintain close collaboration and seamless communication with the Global Applications Team, contributing to our business vision.

To excel in this role, we envision that you possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in the Robotics and Automation Industry, specifically in hands-on installation, debugging, and a comprehensive understanding of the entire Robotics Systems lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Robotics programming languages, with a preference for Polyscope and URScript.
  • Familiarity with high-level programming languages like C++, Java, and Python.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in design software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion, or similar) is essential.
  • Knowledge of offline programming software is a must.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to propose solutions logically to all stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-driven individual with resourcefulness to take initiative autonomously.
  • Advanced proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Polish is required while Czech language skills are advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Anticipate 30% travel commitments and flexibility to accommodate collaboration with Global Universal Robots teams beyond regular working hours.
