Ironbird Creations is a new studio based in Cracow. We currently have 50+ people on board, and we are looking for talented individuals who would like to join us on our journey to create fast-paced, engaging, combat-focused games.

We are seeking a creative and talented Game Designer to join our team in developing an exciting and engaging game. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing game mechanics, systems, and features that are fun, challenging, and intuitive. You will work closely with the development team to create an immersive game experience that resonates with our players.

  • Design game mechanics, systems, and features that are fun, engaging, and intuitive
  • Prototype mechanics in the engine and iterate them rapidly basing on feedback from playtests
  • Fully own the designed mechanics on all development stages, from concept to ship
  • Create clear and concise design documents and specifications
  • Work with the development team to implement and iterate on designs
  • Collaborate with artists, programmers, and other team members to create a cohesive and immersive game experience
  • Analyze playtest feedback and adjust designs accordingly
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Research and incorporate player feedback to continuously improve the game experience

Our requirements:

  • At least 2 (preferably 5+) years of experience in game design, with at least 1 completed project as a Game Designer
  • Experience working with controls, camera and characters
  • Experience with design for action games
  • Good grasp of at least one of the leading game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of game mechanics, systems, and player behavior
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Passion for gaming and a deep knowledge of the current trends in the industry
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Design experience with games similar to Phantom Hellcat
  • Experience designing and balancing action-based combat
  • Experience designing core systems, such as progression
  • Familiarity with scripting or programming languages
  • Knowledge of the level design principles
