Expert Lead Mobile Engineer

Ciklum is in search of an Expert/Lead Mobile Engineer to become part of their team on a full-time basis in Poland.
They are a custom product engineering company that assists both large corporations and growing startups in overcoming their toughest business challenges. With a team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts, and product owners worldwide, they create technology that transforms industries and impacts people's lives.
Role Overview:As an Expert/Lead Mobile Engineer, you will join a collaborative development team working on crafting future experiences. Your role involves providing technical leadership on a transformative project focused on enhancing digital capabilities, fostering innovation, and promoting continuous enhancement within a prominent multinational banking and financial services organization known for its global presence and commitment to pioneering client solutions.
This position offers a hybrid work model combining remote flexibility with two days per week at the Kraków office, with an opportunity for potential relocation.
Responsibilities:- Problem Solving: Lead in solving complex technical issues and offer advice on solutions
- Advocacy and Communication: Advocate for technology within the organization and communicate with a global team of engineers
- Leadership and Oversight: Engage in the technology leadership team, offering oversight as a senior engineering lead
- Quality Assurance and Decision-Making: Make decisions on engineering practices, ensure quality standards, and assess new technology
- Scalable Solutions and Talent Management: Develop scalable solutions, collaborate on talent acquisition, and provide feedback
- Technical Debt Reduction: Identify strategic approaches to reduce technical debt and drive continual improvement
- Demonstrated experience as a senior contributor or tech lead in a large-scale mobile engineering environment
- Proficient in mobile technology with a strong understanding of agile and DevOps practices
- Expertise in Kotlin for Android app development
- Familiarity with key libraries and tools like Dagger2, Rxjava2, Retrofit2
- Proficiency in UI and Core Architectural Design patterns
- Extensive background in writing Unit Tests and UI tests using Junit, Mockito, Espresso
- Knowledge of metrics for informed decision-making to enhance product quality and delivery speed
- Familiarity with emerging trends in the Android ecosystem
- Understanding of source code versioning tools, particularly Github
- Knowledge of security principles and integration practices (e.g., HTTPS, certificate pinning, encryption)
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong at engaging and guiding diverse engineering teams
- Accountable for own work and capable of assessing tasks of junior colleagues
- Experience mentoring engineers and fostering collaborations
- Skilled at providing constructive feedback
- Keen on continuous self-growth and development
- Proactive in delivering results as per expectations
- Ability to propose new ideas and alternative solutions
- Expressing ideas clearly, concisely, and structurally
