Become a part of our commercial IT department, a sector experiencing increased attention and activity. As a Senior Backend Developer, your role will involve supporting the ongoing enhancement, implementation, and fine-tuning of our worldwide eCommerce platform.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Collaborating on deliverables within an agile team, participating in daily scrums. Your focus will be on developing features tailored to specific market requirements.
  • Providing guidance on utilizing existing system functionalities, particularly in terms of integrating with different systems/Microservices through (REST/Queues).
  • Offering expertise and assistance for system challenges, especially those related to our C# (.Net Framework and .NET 6/7/8) architecture and Azure-hosted platform.
  • Ensuring that our platform follows the best development practices and standards for our technologies and environments.

Who are we looking for?

You'll be part of the eCommerce team, collaborating frequently with other teams within the Commercial train. Given the interconnected nature of the eCommerce platform with other solutions, strong communication, teamwork, and understanding of the landscape are crucial skills.

As a senior developer, you will also work closely with an architect to ensure the selection of top technical solutions.

To excel in this role, we expect you to have proficiency in the following areas:

  • Extensive experience in C# and .Net, demonstrated through significant contributions to large-scale web projects
  • Experience with at least one prominent C#-based CMS platform, ideally with commerce elements.
  • Proactive approach to identifying opportunities within your technical domain

Additionally, having the following would be beneficial:

  • Profound knowledge in our technologies (Optimizely Commerce & CMS, Azure)
  • Experience in B2C eCommerce solutions in a manufacturing context
  • Background in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)
