Your future team:
You will be part of a diverse team consisting of Project Managers and Mechanical Engineers in the Civil Section business unit. The team showcases diversity in terms of nationalities, locations, genders, and ages. Alongside your colleagues, you will collaborate with an experienced project group in your daily tasks.
What you will be responsible for:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to oversee and manage mechanical design and construction activities in the Civil M area related to new investment projects within the Rockwool Group. This role entails representing Rockwool Group Technology in close coordination with various stakeholders and teams across different countries. Analytical thinking, robust construction experience, and effective communication skills are vital for this position. While the job will be based in the Rockwool Office in Poznań, Poland, frequent travel within and outside Poland is expected.
Specifically, your role will involve:
- Ensuring provision of utilities to equipment within the factory as needed
- Leading and executing design and construction activities in the specified area
- Ensuring quality, budget, time schedule, certification, approvals, and health & safety checks related to Civil M projects
- Collaborating with process engineers to gather requirements from process-related equipment
- Supporting civil design consultants and design-related activities
- Managing contractors within the designated scope
- Providing input and monitoring time schedules for mechanical activities
- Implementing health & safety measures on-site
- Coordinating with other engineers on-site
- Communicating effectively with the core team and stakeholders
- Demonstrating proactiveness in all responsibilities
Scope:
- Compressed air, water supply, water treatment, fire water supply, rainwater collection, drainage, sewage, oxygen and CO2, natural gas, building heat, HVAC, firefighting systems, and special equipment
What you bring:
- 5+ years of work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Environmental Engineering or similar preferred)
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Project Management preferred
- Proficiency in written and spoken business English
- Experience in executing large-scale projects preferred
- Experience working with multinational teams and stakeholders an asset
- Industrial project experience preferred
- Familiarity with Prince 2 preferred
- Valid driver's license
