Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee auctions in Eastern Europe and International markets. The ideal candidate should have strong commercial acumen, a solid network within the Stamps industry, be independent, and quick-witted with a deep passion for the field.

Responsibilities

As a specialist, you will be closely engaged in evaluating and organizing lots submitted by users. Leveraging your expertise and network, you will be accountable for creating appealing lot listings weekly.

At Catawiki, we aim to maintain transparent and fair user transactions, where your knowledge and experience are crucial. You will assess lot details, descriptions, and images, estimating their value for users. Handling rejections professionally and courteously when necessary is part of the role.

Your efforts contribute to outstanding auctions that attract bidders. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the sales department to keep your auctions engaging, attract new sellers, and diversify the lot selection. Additionally, you will work with the marketing team to enhance bidder interest.

Qualifications
  • A fervor and proficiency in Stamps with a strong understanding of the market, especially in Eastern Europe.
  • Strong commercial skills with a track record in successful negotiations and relationship-building.
  • Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of International stamps Area, including Asia and Eastern Europe.
  • Business experience in Sales, Marketing, Project Management, or as a Stamps Dealer.

Our offices are located in Amsterdam, Groningen, Paris, and Lisbon. Most employees are based near our offices, enjoying a hybrid work setup. Typically, you are expected to be in the office 40% of your working time to collaborate with colleagues, unless a role specifies full remote work.
