AI Valuations Senior Analyst (Direct Assets)

Kraków Your responsibilities Carrying out valuations internally, while calling on the assistance of a third party for specific issues (e.g., assistance in defining the valuation process and policy, setting up valuation models, collecting and reprocessing market data, independent review of valuations)
Secure and validate asset pricing and valuation input for liquid equity and debt positions from external and internal sources, including market databases and brokers
Supervision of the valuation function when delegated to a third party
Reception, collection and recording of the documents required for the valuation of investments
Creation of valuation memos (fair values and impaired assets)
Assessment of impairment needs for Direct Debt Assets
Communication with internal and external Portfolio Managers
Communication and collaboration with internal and external auditors and answer to regulatory requests
Supporting your manager to implement changes within the team to gain efficiency
Support Manager and Head of AI Operations with regards to new funds set up and products
Participate in projects to strengthen company's processes/business/initiatives
Our requirements Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, physics, or other business-related areas and/or studying financial professional qualification (CFA, FMVA, CVA, CAIA etc.)
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience (e.g., working for an AIFM, valuation agent, auditor or asset management company)
Very good knowledge on valuation concepts (IPEV guidelines, international valuation standards, etc.), methodologies (market approach, income approach, net assets approach) and techniques used to value the alternative asset classes (private equity, private debt, venture capital, infrastructure)
In depth knowledge of characteristics of private equity/debt and infrastructure investments especially experienced in valuating such illiquid assets
Experiences in setting up and implementing valuation models and being aware of risk assessment is a big plus
Experience in impairment testing and review of valuation reports is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and proactively
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
Advanced skills in MS Excel
