About the role:

Join a team that is dedicated to support and create the world class Network environment which is highly available and resilient. As Senior Network Engineer, TiVo, you'll play a role to support company wide network environments as part of Global IT team. Enjoy the opportunity to draw on your passion for problem-solving and simplifying tasks, as well as your technical skill set to make important contributions to the environment. You will be working very closely with other global team members to support the enterprise network and come up with world class network for our employees.

This role independently supports the global design, implementation, and maintenance of private and public network infrastructure. Provides guidance and expertise to management and users on topics surrounding strategy and best practices. Solves complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Advanced individual contributor who works on highly complex problems, tasks, or projects.

What you will get to do:

  • Coordinates maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems.
  • Accountable for appropriate monitoring of network connectivity and ensures high quality data transmission. Provides technical support to various departments and users with regards to LAN/MAN/WAN (local/metropolitan/wide area networks) and cloud-based networks.
  • Leads the design public and/or private networks including LAN/MAN/WAN (local/metropolitan/wide area networks). Design work includes placement and specification of servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems.
  • Serve as a liaison with network engineers, vendors, and other third-party providers in installation of network.
  • Participates in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Provides regular status, operational, incident, and change reports.
  • Experience in networking design and implementing security cloud network.
  • Experience with Cloud computing platforms. (AWS)

Who we are looking for:

Must have:

  • Expertise in Palo Alto Firewall Setup and Configuration
  • In-depth knowledge on routing protocols TCP/IP, LACP, LLDP, VXLAN, BFD, OSPF, BGP, IPSEC
  • Working experience with routing protocls, VPN encryption Technologies, modern switching platforms and firewalls including policy implementation
  • Expert in the configuration, design and management of network equipment including switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Experience working with hardware platforms Juniper, and Cisco must.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Enterprise Networking

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge in SDWAN
  • Experience with managing redundant data circuits DIA, SDWAN, Amazon Dx,
  • Hands-on experience using monitoring tools, automation tools (Python) etc.
  • Experience working with AWS networking.
