Corporate Affairs Manager CEE Role overview

We have a new role opened for a Corporate Affairs Manager Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) on a full-time permanent basis. The Corporate Affairs Manager CEE will support the Head of Corporate Affairs for CEE in the development and execution of the internal communications and external positioning strategy for Haleon across CEE BU, and its markets.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for both internal and external communication across CEE countries to ensure Dare2Grow mindset amongst teams.
  • Work to identify key opportunities and subjects with the potential to influence business reputation and environment, including cultural and responsible business agenda.
  • Partner with CA CEE BU team in providing CEE BU GM and Cluster Leaders with advice on key internal and external communications, ensuring best in class execution of the strategies.
  • Support cross CEE BU Corporate Affairs initiatives, incl. executive board members visits or special events.
  • Position Haleon and our brands as industry leaders to build trust and drive consumer loyalty.
  • Work effectively with external partners (comms/PR/media/GA agencies) and internal stakeholders (Legal, HR, Commercial) to deliver against the strategy.
  • Develop content and execute relevant (social media and earned media) campaigns to for the market, condition awareness campaigns, corporate brand campaigns and the Executive Positioning strategy for the BU GM and LT members.
  • Manage the external communications and engagement strategy (media relations and spokespeople), identifying opportunities for local engagement to increase company's profile across CEE.
  • Partner closely with CEE CA Corporate Affairs Manager, HR Team members, as well as Internal Comms Champions, Executive Assistants to BU & Cluster GMs in CEE to drive and/or support them on internal & external opportunities.
  • Ensure all materials are compliant with company and brand guidelines.
  • Determine KPIs and monitor, analyze and communicate results on a quarterly basis across BU CA.
  • Support local issues which may have an impact on Haleon's reputation, developing proactive and reactive messaging to mitigate potential issues.
  • Build & maintain good relationships with key local media in CEE priority markets.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practice to continuously improve the communication strategy.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a role of either end-to-end Corporate Affairs professional or acting as external/internal communications expert, especially in leading internal and external comms agenda at a regional and in-country level
  • Mandatory full working proficiency in English – excellent communications skills incl. verbal and writing
  • The ability to work across multiple markets/areas and demonstrate good agility.
  • University Degree (BSc) or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Highly collaborative person, able to build trust with internal partners across different departments across the company.
  • Mindset of glass full, solutions oriented, able to break down barriers, deal with ambiguity.
  • Passionate storyteller with in-depth, demonstrated expertise of knowledge to drive internal engagement as well as external/Public Affairs activities incl. knowledge of media landscape.
  • Able to proactively identify and tell unique narratives that support communications objectives – internally & externally.
  • Experience in issues management and building effective networking inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent writing skills and very much welcomed public speaking expertise.
  • Social media savvy.
  • The ability to work across multiple areas and demonstrate good agility.
  • Strong expertise, experience, and confidence to plan, counsel on and deliver internal communications and support engagement agenda.
  • Very much welcomed practical experience in managing & mitigating issues and their associated reputational impact.
  • Strong strategic thinking, execution, and overall business acumen. Must demonstrate sound judgment and be able to deal with ambiguity and handle sensitive situations.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a real team player.
  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization, ideally in a FMCG or Healthcare company.
  • Tact, diplomacy, comfort around higher management.
