Cloud Database Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance of databases
  • Managing client's databases, mainly (Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL)
  • Incident Management – responding to and resolving database-related incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
  • Root Cause Analysis – conducting root cause analysis for database issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Performance Optimization – monitoring database activity, optimizing performance, and forecasting resource needs
  • Documentation and Standards – creating and maintaining procedures and documentation, managing database configuration, setting security and integrity standards, and ensuring compliance
  • Problem Investigation and Reporting – using database management system software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics, and generate reports
  • Routine Configuration – performing routine database and related product configurations and reconfigurations
  • Cloudification – supporting the cloudification of the database landscape, database deployment on Microsoft Azure

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of practical experience in database administration, especially MS SQL
  • Proven track record in database deployment on Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of English B2+
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer-centric approach, transparent, and solutions-oriented, quick learner with strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to ask difficult questions, motivated with a positive attitude
