Join us, and build systems powering global financial marketsKraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).As a Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution that is investing in the development of advanced trading platforms to support high-volume FX and eRates markets. You will be contributing to the design and implementation of scalable, low-latency systems that meet the demands of global trading desks. In this role, you are collaborating closely with traders, quantitative teams, and other developers to deliver robust, reliable solutions that align with both business needs and technical standards, while ensuring agile delivery in a demanding environment.Your main responsibilities:Working directly with traders and quants to gather and refine requirementsCollaborating with technical leads and development teams to enhance trading systemsDesigning detailed technical solutions for complex business needsImplementing scalable, high-performance server-side applications in JavaApplying industry best practices including continuous integration and automated testingConducting comprehensive testing prior to user acceptance phasesAssisting with deployments to development and testing environmentsSupporting trading platforms during intra-day and overnight operationsYou're ideal for this role if you have:Demonstrating strong Java server-side development expertiseShowing experience with multi-threaded applicationsBringing knowledge of building distributed global systems in trading environmentsUnderstanding FX market conventions, including Spot and Forward FXApplying experience from enterprise systems within investment bankingCollaborating effectively with traders and quants in agile settingsShowing motivation and problem-solving drive in challenging situationsCommunicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholdersDelivering reliable solutions in high-volume, low-latency environmentsFollowing structured development methodologies and patternsIt is a strong plus if you have:Applying experience in building FX or eRates pricing systemsUsing KDB/Q for data analysis and storageLeveraging Python for complementary development tasksUnderstanding risk management requirements for trading systemsEngaging with consultancies or external experts on technical designWe offer you:ITDS Business Consultants is involved in many various, innovative and professional IT projects for international companies in the financial industry in Europe.
