Software Senior Engineer for PowerStore

Our global engineering development team in Poland is expanding, and we are currently looking for new team members.

You will be part of Engineering development team, where Software Engineers constantly push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of storage and distributed systems. We are a true systems company and work at every layer of the storage stack, including all aspects of operating systems and file systems, distributed algorithms, high performance protocol stacks, and next-generation virtualization technology.

What you’ll achieve

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions. You will be part of scrum team, which is focused on developing core software for our PowerStore storage system.

You will:

• Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software/storage environments.

• Development of core Software – using mainly C/C++, Python.

• Prepare written software/storage specifications for sophisticated products from architectural diagrams and documents.

• Develop, review and implement test strategies for software products and systems.

• Build and review design, functional, technical and/or user documentation, as needed.

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience. Validated knowledge of programming languages – C/C++, Python; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, and application administration; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities, as applicable.

• Ability to code/debug more sophisticated programs using either written or verbal design specifications.

• Knowledge of server, storage, networking and client technologies as well as knowledge of software architectures and applications.

• Capacity to achieve proficiency of new tools, languages and operating systems with training and on-the-job experience.

• Very good communication skills in English.
