Introduction & Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect - Modeller to join the Onboarding and Know Your Customer (OBKYC) Value Stream. This role focuses on delivering significant data mastery and processing capabilities critical for effective onboarding and compliance for our clients. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in defining data models and API schemas, and will collaborate with diverse teams to implement data-driven solutions that enhance customer experience and bank processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the translation of business requirements into data requirements and designs.

  • Document existing data structures and support their evolution towards strategic models.

  • Partner with Enterprise and Solution Architects to define strategic data architecture.

  • Engage with engineers to resolve data issues collaboratively.

  • Guide product owners and engineers in implementing aligned data solutions.

  • Promote best practices in data architecture and modelling.

  • Act as an expert for all data-related matters within the OBKYC stream.

  • Foster open communication among teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in a geographically dispersed data modelling team providing technical leadership.

  • Proven track record of developing well-defined API data contracts.

  • Ability to engage with various stakeholders and influence decisions.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

  • Strong understanding of Data Modelling techniques and associated tools (Visual Paradigm, Erwin).

  • Deep knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL & MongoDB.

  • Solid understanding of Data Management and Governance principles.

  • Proficient in data architecture within microservice-based application architecture.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, GitHub).

  • Programming experience, especially in Python and Java.

  • Background in onboarding and KYC/CDD solutions or related systems integration.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in modern data architecture in Stream, Batch, and Event Processing services.
