What you will do:

  • Lead the small team of junior/mid level ML Engineers.

  • Design, develop and implement both cutting-edge and well-established machine learning methods for content analysis, data retrieval, content classification, and others with a focus on recommendations and personalization.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into products and platforms.

  • Assure the quality of the data for model development.

  • Interact directly with a client - a multinational e-commerce company (eBay) to report progress and plan new tasks.

Experience and skills you need to join us:

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related fields.

  • Able to work as an individual contributor and an Agile Team Lead / mentor for less experienced colleagues.

  • 7+ years of industry experience in building and deploying AI/ML models.

  • Industry experience in building and deploying predictive models in production at scale.

  • Industry experience w/ Deep Learning models and methods (NNs, RNNs, Transformers, embeddings, etc.).

  • Strong programming skills (Python, Scala is nice to have).

  • Mathematical background in statistics/machine learning/AI.

  • Good communication, problem-solving and presentation skills, team-player.

  • Able to accommodate US PST timezone as necessary (Minimum two meetings at 6 or 7 PM a week).

  • Fluency in Polish and English (you will attend meetings with English speaking clients).

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience with Big Data platforms (Hadoop/Spark/Hive).

  • Expertise with LLMs.
