Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture & Design

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using modern data engineering tools.
  • Build and manage data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts to support analytical and reporting needs.

Data Pipeline Development

  • Design and build data ingestion pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Apache Airflow.
  • Implement data transformation logic to maintain data quality and consistency.
  • Develop reusable and modular components to streamline data integration.

Data Integration & APIs

  • Develop data integration solutions for structured and unstructured data.
  • Implement secure APIs and data services for application and analytics access.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Create data validation frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and implement data quality rules.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance best practices (e.g., data lineage, metadata management).

Performance Optimization & Automation

  • Tune SQL queries and optimize data storage for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Automate data workflows and pipeline deployments.

Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of project goals.

Must-Have Skills:

Strong experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, or Prefect.

Expertise with data storage solutions such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries and working with both relational and non-relational databases.

Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.

Experience with data integration, APIs, and governance best practices.
