Lead Software Engineer – Python technology


Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to oversee the design, development, and management of advanced financial technology platforms. This role combines technical leadership, strategic vision, and team management to deliver scalable and innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with strong leadership skills, capable of guiding a team of engineers while ensuring alignment with business priorities and global technology initiatives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across finance, product, and technology teams to drive impactful solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering technical growth and career advancement.

  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical strategies and system designs.

  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of financial platforms.

  • Define and execute the technical roadmap in line with organizational objectives.

  • Balance hands-on development with leadership and team management responsibilities.

  • Champion best practices in code quality, system reliability, and operational excellence.

  • Ensure platforms are scalable, recoverable, and capable of supporting business growth.

  • Maintain clear documentation and communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering, including leadership or team management roles.

  • Advanced proficiency in Python and backend system architectures.

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.

  • Strong expertise in SQL, cloud infrastructure with AWS and containerized environments

  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools (e.g., JIRA, Git, Jenkins).

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
