Application Support Engineer

The platform is based on containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines, processing market data and risk metrics for front-office and risk teams. Responsibilities you'll haveProvide L2 application support for the market risk platform (incident handling, requests, questions from users).Monitor application health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.Perform deployments and releases using established CI/CD pipelines and release procedures.Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents in cooperation with L3/development teams.Communicate with traders, risk managers and other business users, clarifying issues and explaining workarounds.Create and maintain runbooks, technical documentation and knowledge base articles.Collaborate with infrastructure, database and security teams when issues cross multiple domains. Expected competences and knowledgeCommercial experience in L2 application support (ideally for business-critical systems).Solid knowledge of containers and container orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, TeamCity).Good understanding of relational databases (SQL) and Windows/Linux servers.Practical experience with scripting/programming (PowerShell and/or Python) for automation and tooling.Experience with trading or market risk applications and familiarity with basic front-office / risk terminology (PnL, VaR, market data, limits) will be a strong plus.Good communication skills and ability to work with both IT and business stakeholders in an international environment.
