Position Summary

This unique profile of Lukka's solutions will set you loads of challenges and allow you to work with a top-notch tech stack. You will be able to learn about 25 blockchain protocols (and we keep adding new ones).


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead on project deliveries, determining work effort, being fully hands-on, while also being able to delegate if necessary.
  • As a part of working with a specific cryptocurrency, you will take part in workshops with developers of their protocols, gain hands-on experience with the protocol, and have an opportunity to work directly with the creators of specific cryptocurrencies and blockchain protocols. You will work directly with the over 1 PB data set, which sets us a high bar in optimization of the data search, storage, and processing.
  • Due to the amount of transactional data in your daily work, you will use Apache Spark (we write in Scala or Python).
  • You will be able to learn and use AWS tools - EKS, ECR, Cloudwatch, S3, and others.
  • Work with senior team members to contribute to planning, coding, testing and releasing your work.
  • Coach and mentor team members and be accountable for their development.
  • Achieve on-time delivery without compromising quality.
  • Hit the ground running and be a full-fledged contributor to the corresponding project/team within 6 months.



What You'll Need

  • 5+ years in Java or Scala development
  • A university degree, ideally in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Thinking out-of-the-box mindset
  • Performing a code review is an obvious step for you
  • Experience with Spring/Spring Boot
  • Passion for Big Data and data-oriented approach
  • Proficiency with RDBMS (i.e. Postgres), various types of NoSQL storage solutions
  • Experience in AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, Kafka, and JVM performance tuning would be a nice advantage
  • Interest or hands-on experience in smart contracts (Solidity) and blockchain technologies is a big plus
