We are currently seeking a talented Mid Unix Architect to join our client's team and support the evolution of automation and infrastructure architecture across enterprise-scale Unix environments. This role is a key part of the Unix Architecture team and will contribute to designing automation frameworks, defining infrastructure standards, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of global Unix platforms.This role combines deep technical expertise with architectural leadership across automation, configuration management, security hardening, DNS, patching, antivirus, and infrastructure orchestration domains. You will drive innovation and standards that enable our squads to deliver highly automated, compliant, and resilient Unix services.Key Responsibilities:Partner with senior architects to define the technical vision and architecture for Unix automation and infrastructure management.Design scalable and secure automation frameworks using Ansible Automation Platform, GitLab CI/CD, and Terraform.Architect workflows for provisioning, patching, configuration, and compliance across Unix environments.Contribute to the design and implementation of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions using enterprise-grade tools.Support antivirus and endpoint protection strategies for Unix platforms.Design and implement Red Hat Satellite architectures for OS lifecycle management and patch automation.Develop architecture blueprints for AAP, including inventory management, RBAC, and execution environments.Integrate Terraform-based provisioning with Unix automation workflows.Collaborate with security teams to define hardening standards and ensure compliance with enterprise policies.Participate in governance activities, including defining CI/CD and GitOps standards.Provide technical guidance during architecture reviews and cross-squad initiatives.Produce detailed design documentation, diagrams, and operational playbooks.Maintain architectural repositories and ensure up-to-date documentation in Confluence or internal portals.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.Requirements:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.Minimum 5 years of experience in Unix/Linux engineering, automation, or architecture roles.Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux system architecture and RHEL.Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (Tower/AAP).Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.Experience with DNS/DHCP/IPAM solutions (EfficientIP, Infoblox, or similar).Hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite for patching, lifecycle management, and compliance.Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD, branching strategies, and pipeline orchestration.Solid scripting experience with Python, Bash, and Shell automation frameworks.Familiarity with CFEngine, Kickstart, Podman, and HAProxy.Strong understanding of security hardening, antivirus integration, and compliance frameworks.Exposure to hybrid/multi-cloud architectures and API-based automation.Strategic mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.EU citizenship is mandatory.Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in another European language is a plus.What We Offer:B2B contract signed directly with the client.Remote work setup with one visit per month to the Luxembourg office (2–3 days).Candidate rate: up to 570 EUR/day.Full-time engagement.The opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects
