The main goal of the initiative is to consolidate, transform, and analyze financial and transactional data to support decision-making, compliance, and risk management. The project leverages support decision-making, compliance, a Big Data technologies to ensure high data quality, scalability, and performance across complex data ecosystems. Responsibilities you'll haveDesign, develop, and maintain data processing pipelines using Hadoop and Spark ecosystemsImplement and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for large volumes of financial dataCollaborate with analysts, data scientists, and other developers to deliver high-quality, production-ready data solutionsEnsure data integrity, accuracy, and security across distributed data systemsParticipate in code reviews, contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), and maintain development best practicesSupport and troubleshoot Big Data applications running in a multi-cluster environment (e.g., YARN, EMR)Work in an Agile (SAFe) team environment, participating in sprints, planning, and retrospectivesContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and data platform architecture Expected competences and knowledgeStrong programming experience in Java (8+) and/or Scala (min. 3 years)Proven hands-on experience with Apache Spark for batch and distributed data processingSolid understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components (YARN, Sqoop, Hive, Oozie, Impala, MapReduce)Experience with Linux Shell scripting and automationProficiency in SQL and working with large, complex datasetsKnowledge of version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, etc.)Good understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and data lifecycle managementStrong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment Nice to have:Familiarity with Flink, Kafka, and streaming data pipelinesExperience with SAFe Agile methodology and data analysis techniquesExperience with functional programming techniques & principles ScalaFamiliarity with Data Analysis Technologies you'll work withHadoop (YARN, EMR, Sqoop, Hive, Oozie, Impala, MapReduce)ETLJavaSparkSQL Client – why choose this particular client from the Jit portfolio?Jit Team has had an over-decade-long relationship with the leading financial group in the Nordic countries, and we are privileged to be our client's premier partner in Poland.
