Join us, and transform data into powerful insights that drive smarter decisionsKraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office).As a Senior Data Engineer you will be working for our client, a global financial institution modernising its data ecosystem to strengthen decision-making, governance, and analytics capabilities. You will be contributing to the development of scalable data models, pipelines, and standards that support enterprise-wide reporting and operational efficiency. In this role, you will be partnering with cross-functional teams to design robust data solutions, ensure data is treated as a strategic asset, and drive the adoption of best practices across platforms. You will be enabling seamless data flow, improved data quality, and greater transparency for stakeholders across the organisation.Your main responsibilities:Developing and implementing data standards and metadata frameworksDesigning scalable data models and flow diagramsLeading the construction and orchestration of complex data pipelinesServing as the data expert for testers, developers, and business usersConducting analysis of functional and business requirementsPerforming in-depth analysis to uncover data connections and insightsCreating and documenting processes to optimise data operationsSupporting data lineage, protection, and quality activitiesCollaborating with stakeholders to refine data strategiesEnabling seamless integration of data from multiple sourcesYou're ideal for this role if you have:Proficiency in SQL and PythonExperience in data modeling and documenting complex structuresFamiliarity with data lineage, protection, quality, retention, and governanceProven experience designing and orchestrating data pipelinesStrong English communication skillsAbility to perform deep data analysis and identify insightsExperience working with cloud platformsAbility to translate business requirements into technical solutionsStrong understanding of data integration conceptsExperience collaborating with testers, developers, and business stakeholdersIt is a strong plus if you have:Understanding of IT infrastructure or business architectureExperience in large or matrix organisationsFamiliarity with data governance tools such as Collibra, Erwin, or DataplexExperience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud PlatformStrong technical writing and presentation skillsWe offer you:ITDS Business Consultants is involved in various, innovative, and professional IT projects for international companies in the financial industry in Europe.
