About the role:
We are looking for talented, curious, and energetic Staff Site Reliability Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While supporting components of cutting-edge payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.
Main responsibilities:
Supporting code and systems for internal scalability, security, and reusability,
Collaborating cross-functionally to support systems and software solutions that help site reliability and performance for multiple technical offerings,
Contributing to product quality improvements,
Configuring and troubleshooting software applications, systems, databases, and associated devices,
Monitoring and escalating application performance concerns that threaten application functionality.
Key requirements:
Energy and Experience: A growth mindset that is curious and passionate about technologies and enjoys challenging projects on a global scale.
Customer Service: Customer support on merchant escalated issues specific to applications (e.g. increased latency, transactional issues, features not working as encouraged, etc.).
Language Expertise: Expertise in one or more general development languages (e.g., Java, Python).
Support: Experience supporting modern services and web applications on Linux and or Windows environments.
Learner: Constant drive to learn new technologies such as Dev-ops platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
Partnership: Experience collaborating with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile/Scrum teams.
Production Support: Working knowledge of production support processes such as incident/change/problem management, call triaging, and escalation procedures. Ability to develop and maintain automation tools to assist with engineering and production support tasks.
Operating Systems: Knowledge of and ability to navigate Linux/Unix and Windows command line.
Container Infrastructure: Experience with Kubernetes/Docker deployment, configuration, scaling and management of containerized applications.
Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
