Your responsibilities:

  • Be technically opinionated, with demonstrated adherence to best practices in software engineering including appropriate use of abstraction, testing, usability, and version control to create sustainable and reusable software.

  • Collaboratively and pragmatically solve scientific software engineering challenges encountered at the forefront of quantifying test article effects.

  • Collaborate with local and off-shore engineering teams to support your software development efforts.

We are looking for you, if you have:

  • BS or higher in bioinformatics, computer science or related field.

  • 5+ years experience developing tools for data analysis. Seniority of position will depend on experience and other factors.

  • Python (Flask/Django)

  • Frontend development (JavaScript, React)

  • REST and GraphQL API experience

  • Source code management

  • RDBMS/NoSQL (Postgres, MongoDB)

  • GCP AWS

  • Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems

  • Experience supporting data science activities using FAIR data management and reproducible practices.

  • Biological domain knowledge and basic data analysis skills are desirable but not required.

  • Ability to work iteratively and according to agile methodologies
