We are looking for an experienced Java-focused technical leader who combines strong engineering expertise with people leadership and a product mindset. Your responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a backend engineering team, setting clear technical direction and supporting continuous growth
• Design, develop, and evolve high-performance Java/JVM services for delivery time prediction and delivery method selection
• Ensure scalability and reliability of systems handling very high throughput and low-latency requirements
• Collaborate closely with product, data, analytics, and operations stakeholders to align technology with business goals
• Drive engineering best practices such as code reviews, CI/CD, system observability, and data-driven decision making

Our requirements

• At least 5 years of senior-level experience in Java backend development, including designing and maintaining distributed systems at scale
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role, involving mentoring engineers and guiding architectural decisions
• Strong understanding of high-availability, high-throughput architectures and the JVM ecosystem (Java required; Kotlin/Scala/Groovy as a plus)
• Ability to collaborate closely with business and product stakeholders, effectively balancing technical quality with business priorities
• Very good command of English at B2/C1 level, enabling fluent communication in an international environment
• Fluent Polish required
• Residing in Poland required
