The Role:

Emerging technologies such as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), cloud, artificial intelligence, and APIs, coupled with strategic trends like ESG, could be game-changers for our industry. Euroclear aims to seize opportunities created by these new technologies and trends to develop products, services, and capabilities that address market inefficiencies and strengthen Euroclear’s role in market infrastructure.

The Innovation tribe within IT is the delivery arm of these game-changing digital capabilities across business lines and entities. To support its growth and ambitions, we are reinforcing the team with a Test Automation Engineer to work within a fast-paced, truly agile environment.

A Test Automation Engineer is integral to software delivery activities, focusing on writing automated tests and performing manual testing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the product owner and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, translating them into test cases and scenarios, and automating them.
  • Design, implement, and execute automated test cases for both API and web applications to validate functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities.


Must Have:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience with C#, TypeScript, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Demonstrated understanding of semantic HTML and CSS.
  • Good knowledge of API testing and UI testing frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
  • Experience using Git in a professional/workplace environment.
  • Deep knowledge of quality and how to improve quality processes.
  • Demonstrated experience working through the entire software development life cycle within an agile context.
  • Good knowledge of SQL.


Nice to Have:

  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester) or relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud and DevOps.
  • Experience with Angular.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development.
  • Experience in continuous deployment and integration.

The Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division contributes to Euroclear’s competitiveness by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that does not compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
