Rate: 110 - 150 PLN/h net+VAT

Location: Remote within Poland

Project: Development and maintenance of backend services and internal systems for banking products and processes for the leading bank

Project Overview

Join our Rite NRG team as a Business System Analyst, supporting a long-term initiative in the payments domain for a leading banking client.

You will work at the crossroads of business and IT: translate business needs into system-level requirements, model end-to-end flows (BE + FE perspective) using UML sequence diagrams, analyse APIs and integrations, and closely support development teams in delivering end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and clarify business and system requirements in the payments area.

• Translate business needs into system specifications, User Stories / Use Cases, acceptance criteria, interface contracts, data mappings, and integration scenarios.

• Document processes and interactions using UML (incl. extensive sequence diagrams) and BPMN, covering end-to-end flows across backend and frontend components.

• Analyse APIs, data structures, and system interactions between internal banking systems and external/internal services.

• Provide strong analytical input to the API scope and definition:

  • propose required endpoints and operations,

  • define request/response payloads (JSON/XML),

  • specify REST behaviours (status codes, error handling, messages),

  • align expectations between backend and frontend needs.

• Read, interpret and work with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation; ensure API contracts are complete and consistent.

• Work closely with Architects, Developers and Testers to shape solution design, verify feasibility, and support delivery.

• Maintain and refine the product backlog, support refinements, and participate in workshops with stakeholders.

• Support test scope definition: help define test scenarios, clarify expected behaviours, and support defect analysis from an analytical/functional perspective.

• Use SQL when needed for analysis or data validation (e.g., investigating datasets, comparing aggregates, troubleshooting discrepancies).

• Ensure documentation is up to date and understandable for both business and technical audiences.

Requirements

• 4+ years as a Business System Analyst in IT (banking/payments preferred).

• Experience in system integrations and APIs: REST, JSON/XML, data mapping.

• Ability to read and analyse Swagger/OpenAPI documentation and translate it into clear functional and technical requirements.

• Experience in defining API requirements (endpoints, request/response payloads, error handling, status codes) and understanding REST basics.

• Strong skills in UML (including sequence diagrams) and process modelling (BPMN).

• Working knowledge of SQL used in analytical work (e.g., ability to query and analyse data).

• Experience writing User Stories/Use Cases, acceptance criteria, and supporting implementation teams during delivery.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work across business and technical teams.

• Experience in Agile environments.

• Fluency in Polish and an advanced level of English (B2/C1)
