Specialist EngineeringJoin us, and design APIs that power global digital transformationKraków - based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).As a Specialist Engineering, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services that is advancing large-scale digital transformation initiatives. You will be contributing to the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and efficient API-driven solutions that power critical business applications. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, integrating cloud technologies, and optimizing databases to ensure reliability and performance. You will be applying modern engineering practices, driving innovation, and supporting the delivery of cutting-edge solutions within a fast-paced, agile environment.Your main responsibilities:Designing and developing RESTful APIs using Spring BootDeploying and managing API services on AWS platformsDesigning and optimizing data models with MongoDBCollaborating with product managers, developers, and QA engineers to gather requirementsConducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practicesMonitoring and optimizing API performance to improve response timesCreating and maintaining comprehensive API documentationDeveloping and executing unit and integration testsTroubleshooting and resolving API-related functionality, performance, and security issuesResearching and implementing new technologies and best practices in API developmentYou're ideal for this role if you have:Strong experience in Spring Boot, Core Java, and RESTful API developmentHands-on delivery experience across multiple technologiesKnowledge of MongoDB and AWS services such as Lambda and API GatewayProficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and understanding of DevOps modelsStrong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologiesExperience in creating high- and low-level design and performing impact analysisKnowledge of production support processes and proceduresExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across teamsIt is a strong plus if you have:Experience with SOAP, RAML, or CloudHubProficiency in additional database systems such as Oracle or cloud-based servicesFamiliarity with JavaScript in API-related contextsExperience with troubleshooting and supporting enterprise-level APIsA proactive and adaptable attitude in fast-paced environmentsWe offer you:ITDS Business Consultants is involved in many various, innovative and professional IT projects for international companies in the financial industry in Europe.
