About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Software Engineer with great knowledge of PL/SQL. The team you would join ensures reliable, consistent and audit-proof quarterly and yearly closings. This includes adhering to new global financial standards like IFRS9 and 17 and an increasing demand with regards to stability, transparency and credibility. We strive for a high degree of automating core processes to drive the digital transformation using the newest technologies.


How you will get the job done
  • developing an Oracle database​
  • designing, coding and testing complex programs from agreed specifications under consideration of architecture guidelines and coding guidelines
  • implementing and executing unit tests, and supporting business testing
  • processing incidents (analysing, bug fixing) for all issues regarding the application
  • executing technical application support and carrying out maintenance tasks (bug fixing, business supporting, interface monitoring)
  • documenting developments before releasing to productive systems
  • analyzing non-functional requirements
  • creating of documentation for BaFin and other audit requirements


Skills and experience you will need
  • fluency in English
  • at least 4 years of working experience as a SQL developer
  • knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
  • university degree in computer engineering / IT (and / or similar qualification)
  • knowledge about clean coding, object-oriented development principles, agile development, DevOps technologies


Nice to have
  • experience with BizTalk as middleware solutions
  • strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • very good interpersonal and communication skills for working in a global environment in hybrid teams
  • proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options
  • good command of German
