It harnesses data from over 500 million Zendesk users and links to 40+ external data sources. Explore plays a vital role in handling millions of records from the Zendesk product line, allowing for real-time querying and visualization at scale.

The Vega team is in charge of developing customer-facing apps within the Zendesk Explore product. We are currently seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to assist us in constructing and managing the Explore Roles & Permissions system, along with other essential features for Explore users.

  • Collaborate closely with a team of seasoned Engineers, contributing to technical decision-making processes.
  • Be part of an independent team with the autonomy to develop and release full stack features within Explore.
  • Individually complete development tasks, showcasing your dedication to deadlines and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to resolving technical debts, demonstrating a proactive stance in enhancing our codebase and systems.
  • Engage in peer code reviews, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the team.
  • Thoroughly document your work and share knowledge with team members to foster open communication and ongoing learning.
  • Actively engage with cross-functional teams, showcasing clear communication skills and prompt issue escalation.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers to cultivate a supportive and inclusive team environment.
What You Bring To The Role
  • You are driven to accomplish tasks and enhance processes. You aim to see projects through to completion and iterate on processes for future improvements.
  • Demonstrated professional experience with JavaScript ES6, React, Redux, TypeScript, and Jest.
  • Knowledge of Styled Components, Ant Design, and Monorepo is a valuable asset.
  • Understanding of web application development principles and best practices.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Embrace a growth mindset, actively seeking and providing constructive feedback.
  • Passionate about learning, staying updated on industry trends, and implementing best practices.
  • Adaptable nature, demonstrating capacity to navigate change in a dynamic work setting.
