Description

We are looking for a proactive team player who is passionate about not-for-profit brands and refugee matters to join a three-month internship (with a possible extension) in UNHCR's Protection team. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of the Assistant Protection Officer and contribute to UNHCR's goal of safeguarding individuals who have been displaced.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support protection delivery
  • Monitor national legislation impacting persons of concern
  • Assist in conducting trainings and workshops
  • Help in designing information materials for distribution in reception facilities
  • Collaborate with UNHCR Protection colleagues to compile biweekly reports
  • Coordinate with translation partners for document translations and interpretation services
  • Manage UNHCR Poland's inboxes and handle individual queries
  • Support the Protection Sector's work and meetings
  • Communicate with Protection Sector partners in English and Polish
  • Aid in developing the Protection Sector agenda and organizing presentations

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:


  • Recent graduate or current graduate/undergraduate student in a relevant field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Passion for learning and development
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Flexible team player willing to work full-time during the internship
