ASEC is an international team that delivers actuarial systems used by Aviva business units around the world. Team is mainly focused on maintenance and development of in-house built models that support calculation of Solvency Capital Requirement and IFRS17.

What will you be doing?
  • ALS Prophet coding will be the sole responsibility of this role.
  • Lead the design of code changes to customer facing applications subject to code standards.
  • Create and maintain appropriate documentation of the code, in line with EUC frameworks.
  • Drive forward changes and implement automation.
  • Be comfortable with agile development and working to short timescales.
  • Responsible for technical estimates of changes.
  • Ensure testing is completed in all environments and platform teams have a suitable technical point of contact.
  • Implementation and documentation of coding solutions and decisions will be required to ensure product owner / user expectations are met.
What we're looking for?
  • Experienced and adaptable code knowledge.
  • A good understanding of modern code development practices.
  • Ability to work and test tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to work in an agile way.
  • Work in a cross functional team together to meet business objectives.
  • Background in ALS Prophet system would be a strong asset
  • With profit products knowledge
  • Good critical thinking and proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience and track record will be considered in place of specific qualifications, coding qualifications preferred.
